It’s been a while. My 1 week break turned into 3 and although I’m not sure if I’m ready to take on a 5 day / week blogging schedule, I am happy to be back on here. To be honest, I was feeling a bit burnt out after Got Craft and earlier in April went through a small phase of self doubt and needed a change. One of the most important points that I took home from the blogshop Vancouver (more on that soon!) course is to step away from the computer and go experience life in order to create unique content. So what have we been up to? A little bit of everything! I’ll be sharing a few adventures and new finds on here soon. Right now, I need to work on the not so glamourous life of catching up on emails and list making.
Thanks for following along and stopping in!
I received an eamil from Stephanie at Panoramic Coffee last year about partnering up for the Got Craft?
holiday show last December. After a few conversations, we tracked her down at a tasting at Marché St. George
and had the chance to try her coffee and meet face to face. Unfortunately, she couldn’t make it out to the show last year as she and her sister, Andrea, was in the middle of opening up their own pie and coffee shop in Chinatown. Oh, and did I mention that they opened their 310 square feet shop in 9 days? Yup. Watch the video above as filmmaker Zack Lazarus tells the behind the scenes story of the making of The Pie Shoppe
and for you keeners out there, see if you can spot Robert’s cameo!
The Pie Shoppe will be at Got Craft? on April 27th and 28th in the gym at Templeton Secondary School – 727 Templeton Drive, Vancouver (corner of Templeton and Turner). Say hello and enjoy a pour over drip coffee with a piece of freshly baked pie!

According to instagram, it looks like there was a lot of eating going on the past few weeks!
There’s some breathing room in the calendar, so we are getting ready to finish painting the apartment and finally getting some art up on the walls. Will spend the next few days catching up on emails, hosting family in town, and maybe making some pickles? I’ve had canning on my mind ever since picking up this book at Powell’s. <- Why is it called canning when everything is done in jars?
Psst! Thanks to Phanie for the kale chip recipe. These things are addictive!
